Lonely With You
Andrew Bayuk

When we’re together I feel so alone
even our house doesn’t feel like a home
even the times when we converse
it seems even worse
I’m so lonely with you

When we go out, we bring it along
no rhythm in our step no rhymin’ in our song
Even the times go out to dance, don’t stand a chance
I’m so lonely, I’m so lonely

I’m so lonely with you
can’t even stand those things that you do
can’t even stand those things that you say
why does it have to be that way?

When we go for a walk, better if we don’t talk
Going out to eat but nothin’s tasting sweet,
Even the times go for a ride, it won’t subside
I’m so lonely with you.

It seems to me might be better off alone
less lonely alone that with you.
At least when I’m alone and here on my own
I’m better company than you.

When it’s time to go to bed, it’s still in my head
Even with you there I still feel nowhere
When I finally dream I find self esteem
then I wake to renew
but find I’m misconstrued
as I realize
that I’m still lonely, I’m still lonely

I’m so lonely with you
can’t even stand those things that you do
can’t even stand those things that you say
why does it have to be that way?
why does it have to be that way?
why do you have to be that way?
