I’ve seen the pyramids of Giza
I’ve seen the Sphinx and sailed the Nile
I’ve seen the sunset on the ocean
I’ve seen a newborns waking smile.
I’ve seen the twin peak towers rising (and falling)
I’ve seen the moon eclipse the sun
I’ve seen the stars blanket the heavens
I’ve seen the joy of everyone
Of all these things I’ve seen
Nothing can compare to the look I see inside your eyes
And the color of your hair
And when I close my eyes
Your afterimage still remains.
Then all those things I’ve seen
Just dissolve and fade away.
I’ve seen the whirling Dervish
Chinese dragons in the street
I’ve seen the fireworks from airplanes
Seen the rivers running (flowing) deep
I’ve seen Aurora Borealis
Seen the mountains kiss the sun
I’ve seen hats pulled out of rabbits
I’ve seen the style of everyone.
Of all these things I’ve seen
Nothing can compare to the look I see inside your eyes
And the color of your hair
And when I close my eyes
Your afterimage still remains.
Then all those other things I’ve seen
Just dissolve and fade away.
