Footprints in the Snow by Andrew Bayuk The road is hard and long. It winds forever on. The sea leads to the shore. I’m finding more and more, I’m lost. The sun comes up again The river points the way It leads me back to home LIKE FOOTPRINTS IN THE SNOW The clouds conceal the sun They overtake the sky Darkness falls upon us We often wonder why, we’re lost. The sun goes down again The stars they point the way They lead me back to home LIKE FOOTPRINTS IN THE SNOW The desert nights aglow As shadows from dunes grow The wind beckons my name But things remain the same, I’m lost The new moon comes again The mountains point the way They lead me back to home LIKE FOOTPRINTS IN THE SNOW The one day I wake And feel your warmth around And realize you were always there And always will be; now I’m found The full moon comes again Your love it points the way It leads me back to home LIKE FOOTPRINTS IN THE SNOW Copyright © 2005 Andrew Bayuk All Rights Reserved
